Efficient means of communication are essential to mission critical operational success in the “oil & gas patch”, and in no part of the patch is it more evident than in the offshore fields of the Caspian, West Africa & the North Sea.
Satellite-based communications, together with satellite terrestrial hybrid solutions, and terrestrial platforms, play a vital role within this sector, providing essential connectivity and access to vital applications in such challenging geographic environments, but it is a role which nevertheless has both demand-side and supply-side potential to expand – and expand significantly.
The ‘Oil & Gas Connectivity: Digital Applications & Communications Dynamics’ Conference is the event at which this potential for expansion will be examined in great depth. The Conference will provide extended networking opportunities for demand (end-user) and supply (vendor) expert practitioners, and will be set within the context of a conference programme in which the nature of the applications and communications imperatives of the energy market vertical will be fully addressed.
Following two successful and widely acclaimed ‘Oil & Gas Communications: Middle East & North Africa’ conferences held in Cairo in 2006 and 2007, UK Event Management Partners (UK-EMP) will again be collaborating with the GVF, and will be partnering with major oil & gas industry-related organisations active in the exploration & production and oilfield services arenas.
This conference will bring together key leaders and experts from the oil & gas sector as well as the communications and commercial applications sectors into one high-level forum. In so doing, the conference will create opportunities for companies in the oil & gas vertical to call upon all ICT solutions providers – terrestrial wireline, wirelesss, and satellite in the communications field, together with developers/vendors in the digital applications field – to match their offerings more closely to the specific demands and requirements of the “oil & gas patch”. |
