The GVF / UK-EMP Conference Partnership
The Global VSAT Forum (GVF) and UK Event Management Partners (UK-EMP) comprise the collaborative partnership behind the Oil & Gas Communications conference series, and the Broadband Maritime conference series, as well as the West Africa Satellite Communications conference series and it’s vertical market applications modules focused on the West African Oil & Gas, Banking and GSM sectors.
GVF is the single and unified voice of the global satellite industry. It brings together organisations engaged in the delivery of advanced broadband and narrowband satellite services to consumers, and commercial and government enterprises worldwide. Headquartered in London, GVF is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit organisation with 200+ members from more than 80 countries.
The broad-based membership of GVF represents every major world region and every sector of the satellite industry, including fixed and mobile satellite operators, satellite network operators, teleports, satellite earth station manufacturers, system integrators, value added and enhanced service providers, telecom carriers, consultants, law firms, and users.
UK-EMP was founded in 2004 for the purpose of developing, organising, and managing a niche portfolio of highly specialised conferences and summits for the ICT industry. Our primary geographical focus is on rapidly developing as well as developed regional markets. Its focus on these geo-territories is founded on the extensive and direct experience of our personnel and partners in these markets, and on an extensive ‘Database of Expertise’, comprising professional contacts obtained, and maintained, for countries throughout these, and other, regions.
UK-EMP works very closely with key industry and government bodies active in these regions to ensure that our events are stakeholder driven, and that critical industry objectives related to the focused subject areas stipulated are fully explored, and analysed in depth. The company has a particular interest in events focused on new communications technologies and solutions and innovative applications which service the evolving and mission-critical communications needs of major corporate and government end-users, particularly in remote areas where connectivity is a major challenge. These events are structured on a “round-table” basis, providing a platform for both users and procurers of communications equipment and services as well as the communications solution provider/OEM community.
The GVF/UK-EMP Conference Partnership aims to leverage the respective expertise and strengths of the two organisations to bring to the conference dialogue marketplace a new approach to the creation of ICT platforms of opportunity for telecommunications technology and service solution vendors to network with a wide array of telecommunications technology and service end-users across a range of key vertical markets for which cost-effective, efficient, reliable, scalable, and secure means of communication are a day-to-day and mission critical requirement. It is within the context of these networking platforms of opportunity that essential dialogues between the supply-side and demand-side are founded and built, a relationship that facilitates deals being done and business growth on both sides.
